The Harbour is an iconic family area aboard MSC World America, combining playful design and marine engineering excellence to create a safe, visually engaging, and functional outdoor leisure space. It expands MSC’s onboard experience and strengthens the brand’s connection between family, water, and design. The Harbour is also house to the first ever iconic over-water swing ride at sea – Cliffhanger.
The project brings together Bloom’s marine and technical expertise with Northern Light’s creative concept to transform a conventional cruise deck into a multi-sensory destination through custom artwork, design innovation, and precise technical integration.
Scope of work
Bloom developed the technical design and construction documentation for The Harbour, translating Northern Light’s creative concept into detailed, buildable solutions suited to the marine environment — adapting materials, structures, and finishes to meet maritime standards, shipyard requirements, and onboard system integration.
Project collaboration
Bloom worked closely with MSC Cruise Management and MSC Guest Experience, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, and international suppliers across lighting, artwork, and water play, climbing structures and flooring to coordinate design feasibility and technical delivery.
