The Harbour, an iconic family area that combines playful design with marine engineering excellence offering guests a safe, visually engaging, and functional environment.

An unprecedented combination of design innovation, custom artwork, and technical integration—transforming the traditional cruise deck into a multi-sensory destination.

The project unites creative concept from Northern Light with the technical precision and marine expertise of Bloom (previously known as B.studio), resulting in a fully compliant, ship-ready entertainment zone.

Scope of work

Bloom was responsible for developing the technical design and construction documentation for The Harbour area based on the original concept.

Our main role was to translate the creative vision into detailed, buildable solutions tailored specifically for the marine environment.

This included adapting materials, structures, and finishes to meet maritime standards and shipyard requirements, ensuring safety, durability, and integration with onboard systems.

Project collaboration

We cooperated closely with MSC Cruise Management, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, and multiple international suppliers -including lighting, artwork, and water play specialists- to coordinate all aspects of the design and ensure technical feasibility.

Project execution

Bloom delivered a marine-compliant, technically sound design package that correctly translated Northern Light’s creative vision into a feasible, buildable, and high-quality onboard space.

The result is an engaging and durable leisure zone that elevates the passenger experience and reinforces MSC’s commitment to design excellence.
